Homage

Driving along the dunes on a cold winter day, I saw this boat - abandoned and grounded and cried “Stop! Stop!” My ever-obliging husband pulled over, I jumped out of the car to photograph this boat - homage to the empty solitude and muted colors of an Andrew Wyeth painting - and I was thrilled when a crow flew through the frame at the exact moment I snapped the shutter.
