GEOMETRIC & CARTOGRAPHIC

Structure, pattern, linear forms are always appealing to me and I often use these elements in my work.

Maps are both the beginnings and the ends of journeys – both real and imagined – and they continually evolve as the world changes.  Maps symbolize curiosity, exploration and discovery.  They represent the known and the unknown; the found and the searched for; the reality and the mystery.

There are many kinds of maps:  maps of exploration; maps of measurement; maps of places and boundaries; maps of conquest; maps of navigation.  Maps characterize our human curiosity to explore and understand our world.
