Spoon Suite No1

When I was first learning to paint in oils, I painted glass, metal, ceramic, folded fabric and wood objects, and I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet serenity of both the practice and the final painting.

This painting is in homage to many of the inspiring still life portraits that I admired in museums - the rich, yet subdued colors and the simple arrangement of the objects.
